This news flash is to inform you about upcoming changes to the Information Repository (IR) currently located at the Concord Public Library, 2900 Salvio St, Concord, CA 94519.
The hardcopy IR at the Concord library is being transitioned to an on-line IR, and the hardcopy documents will be removed from the shelves. A hard copy of the IR index will be available for members of the public who want to see what is available. There is a bank of public computers at the library for those interested in accessing the on-line IR. This change is to comply with the Navy's paperless initiative and to support the library's request to clear underutilized Navy documents from their limited archive storage space.
All former documents will be accessible through the IR website. A link to the IR website will also be available on the Navy website. Once the changes are finalized, the Navy will publish a public notice in the Contra Costa Times.
