June 14 Workshop – Get the Facts
Approximately 150 participated in this first workshop, which included a project update and five 25-minute small group presentations on Transportation, Land Stewardship, Green Building, Community and Economics.
August 2 Workshop – Balancing the Alternatives
On August 2 at the Balancing the Alternatives Workshop, participants discussed the three concepts reflected in the alternatives: “Extending the Neighborhoods,” “Connected Villages” and “Concentration + Conservation” and identified the features of these concepts that work and that don’t work.
September 13 Workshop – Building Consensus
On Sept. 13 at the Building Consensus Workshop, participants will consider input from the August 2 workshop to build consensus around one of the three major concepts.
Next Steps
After receiving input from the public at the summer workshops, the Community Advisory Committee will discuss prioritizing the alternatives and subsequently send its recommendation to the City Council. The City Council will then select a preferred Reuse Plan.
