Saturday Reuse Project Workshops
A series of Saturday morning workshops June 14, August 2 and September 13 were held from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at the Concord Senior Center, 2727 Parkside Circle.
June 14 Workshop – Get the Facts
Approximately 150 participated in this first workshop, which included a project update and five 25-minute small group presentations on Transportation, Land Stewardship, Green Building, Community and Economics.
August 2 Workshop – Balancing the Alternatives
On August 2 at the Balancing the Alternatives Workshop, participants discussed the three concepts reflected in the alternatives: "Extending the Neighborhoods," "Connected Villages" and "Concentration + Conservation" and identified the features of these concepts that work and that don’t work.
September 13 Workshop – Building Consensus
On Sept. 13 at the Building Consensus Workshop, more than 200 participants reviewed two modified plan alternatives based on the "Connected Villages" and "Concentration & Conservation" concepts.
